Freestyle skiing.

There are 7 judges in the Aerials competition. 5 of the judges will judge the Air portion of the jump, which includes: the Takeoff, the Height of the jump and the Length of the jump. They also judge the form of the jump, which includes: the execution of the jump, the exactness of the jump and body position of the skier. The Air portion of the judging is worth 20 percent and the form portion is worth 50 percent.

2 judges will judge the landing of the skiers. This portion of the judging is worth 30 percent. Skiers will lose points if they should fall when they land, if they lose their balance or if they touch the ground with their back.

The two scores are added together and then are multiplied by difficulty factor and this gives the skier their final score.

The skiers must give to the judges, prior to their jumps, a list of the straight jumps, the positions and rotations they will perform along with a list of somersaults and jumps they will perform during their acrobatic jump. They also must tell the judges what kicker they plan on using.
