View from Prospect Mt. summit
A paved road goes right up to the summit of this mountain just outside of the village of Lake George, NY. The Adirondacks have two such roads [the other one goes up Whiteface, near Lake Placed]. This road makes it possible for even my Mom, who is 97, to get to the top of a mountain and see the view - in this case, Lake George. View is to the north, and shows the section of the lake known as The Narrows [where we camp].
