The back of the pad which is aiding me in my vow of silence. It's handy having these pages because most of the people I come into contact with ask the same questions.
The cardboard says:

When did you start: Sat 2-June-2007
When do you end: Sat 16-June-2007
And you haven't said a word?: Nope, I've uttered a few words accidentally, but 99.9999% of the time I've not expressed myself using speech. The details are not overly important anyway, the effect is still there.
The paper says:
FAQ (cont:) WHY?
-something different
-different P.O.V.
-improve listening (you listen more to others & yourself)
-gain understanding of importance/value of communication
-the less you speak the more time you have to think
-experiment to see what it's like
-Buddhism needs to be lived, not just read.
