Triumph Mountain Cub

This is my Triumph Tiger Cub as purchased recently. I think it is a French Army Mountain Cub that has been repainted as there is military green colour under the black everywhere. The experts say the numbers are wrong and I would appreciate any help to confirm what it is. Registered as a 1966 model, do you know any of its history?
