Something Different
The challenge for me in shooting autum scenes around here now is in finding a different perspective ... or catching something extra in the scene. For example, yesterday I took a shot from the Ballam Bridge looking upstream ... a shot I take every autumn and have uploaded to Flickr quite a few times.
But I shot this one here from somewhere I haven't shot before yesterday. So, it's something diffferent for me. It's just a little below the salmon pool known as Quarry Pool that I mentioned a few photographs ago. It looks something like the area I photographed yesterday, but it's a number of kilometres upstream from there.
This is a very scenic area. The Trans Canada Highway follows the river very closely down here and if you look downstream where it takes a big sweeping turn to the right you will catch a glimpse of a number of vehicles.
The sun, which has been conspicuously absent for most of this fall, was out in all its glory yesterday ... but today it is pouring rain again and so dark you need the lights on in the house!
