I officially love Corinne Bailey Rae for getting up the courage and the strength to do another album after the loss of her late Husband Jason Rae. It really ticked me off that people ripped it apart and called it garbage. That's really going too far. It especially ticked me off when people who loved her first album totally dismissed her second because it didn't sound exactly like the first. I think that if you like one album of the artist but you don't like another then you really don't like the artist then. People are crazy sometimes.
Despite what "critics" say, I give this album a 9/10 because of the lyrics, melodies and vocals in the songs. Also because the album hits me in a personal level and it reminds me of the greats too. (Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone etc.)
