The elevation here is 8,000 feet (i don't know what the f that is in metric). This forest won't be green again for 300 years minimum (oh thank God there is no metric system for time). This is wilderness area - there is no human influence on forest regrowth allowed. All new trees will be 100% (hey at least that's metric!) naturally reseeded.
