Smoothie raises fund for 100 bassets at shelter
Smoothie wants to raise fund for Basset Rescue Network to buy a 15,000 watts generator to keep other basset hounds warm in winter.
The shelter has had a snow storm blizzard. They have power outage frequent. A generator is needed for the shelter. Won't you help to keep the animals warm?
Bio of the ambassador Smoothie:
Smoothie is a basset hound mix. She was rescued by Rescuer's Helper. She was abandoned by a renter with no food and little algie water for days in the high heat of summer on a hot cement floor. The metal chain collar was very tight as she grew up. It took some challenge to cut it off from her neck. After a long time waiting for a good home, she was adopted by a wonderful family, the Jensen, in Cypress, CA in 2006.
She is a very lucky dog, as big black dogs have difficulty to get adopted by public.
Now, Smoothie is a goodwill ambassador for Basset Rescue Network attending different local shows. She has brought attention to the plight of homeless rescue animals, especially Black Dogs (aka Black Dog Syndrome).
When a scout from Le PAWS Agency - A Hollywood Agency for Dogs - spotted her in a local show, her life changed. With extensive schooling, Smoothie is now ready to be in "show business". The Jensen is also a member of Rescuer's Helper, and supporters of Basset Rescue Network.
