Vintage aero bike - one off; Columbus steel tubing, split seattube like Rigi or Mecacycle
Built by an obviously very talented private person (toolmaker) 30 years ago. I got it almost unridden a year ago with equipped wih a Campagnolo 50th anniversary group ( www.flickr.com/photos/33588433@N04/7514642998/in/photostream ) and decided to save the group and build the bike aero style:
- Mavic Starfish cranks
- Campagnolo C-Record rear der.
- Shimano Dura Ace AX brakes in a unique colour
- aero bars
- front wheel with rare Rödel spokes
The very short wheel base is noticeable in every turn - the bike's eager for winding roads. A true funbike which I tried to express through the fresh colours of bar tape and saddle too. Pretty sure that I'll like to ride it
