Taphrina tosquenetii - a fungal gall on Alder

Gillifield Woods. Caused by an Asco fungus. T. tosquenetii is larger than T.sadebackii, the infected leaves up to twice the normal size (I thoght at first these were Hazel leaves) - the large blisters are supposed to have a white bloom - but not on these - I didn't find ant asci on microscopy.

Done
