Merle Norman Cosmetics - "Westroads Mall" Omaha, NE

Westroads Mall is a 1,045,782 ft2 super-regional mall in Omaha, NE, and the largest mall in the state of Nebraska. Westroads Mall opened in 1967 as the fourth enclosed mall in the Omaha metropolitan area after The Center, Crossroads, and Southroads Mall.

The mall was the most successful mall in the area until the Melvin Simon developed Oak View Mall opened down the street in 1991. The two malls went head to head until the early 2000's when efforts to revitalize the property, and Westroads vastly superior location off the interstate, reversed the fortunes of the two properties and it retuned to being the dominant enclosed mall in Omaha.

The mall has struggled in recent years with competition from Village Pointe with its exclusive tenants in Apple, Scheels, and GAP, and also Regency Court Mall across the street with its Ann Taylor, Anthropology, Pottery Barn, and Williams-Sonoma stores. In recent years the mall has lost stores such as The Gap, Younkers, Justice, and Abercrombie to other area centers and several bankruptcy filings by national chains.
