Window cleaners work on the building of the secretariat of foreign relations in downtown Mexico City (centro histórico).
Perspective control makes the image look a bit strange, but on purpose. Somewhat Magritte-esque, maybe? By only showing the upper-half, with no reference of the groud, I wanted it to seem up in the clouds, of unknown height, decontextualized. Perspective control also helps in this, because it seems like you are looking at it head-on, and there should be some ground, horizon, or other buildings, but there aren't any. And then the window cleaners just give it that nice extra touch.
As for "contrast", I think the solid color areas, shapes on the building, and that angular shadow all make it fit the theme quite well, not to mention the clean division between the building and sky. As you can see, the sun has been pretty strong these days in Mexico City.
I hardly use Flickr, but if anyone's interested I have plenty of my work at instagram.com/arzu_martinez
