Pterostylis curta
Our first visit to Wisley this year ... the Spring Fair is on this weekend.
Pterostylis curta (the Blunt Greenhood) is a species of terrestrial orchid in the family Orchidaceae. It is the type species of the genus Pterostylis.
It is found in woodlands throughout coastal south-east Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, south-east South Australia, Tasmania, and Lord Howe Island. They prefer moist habitats in the wild, but the range of forest types they’re found in is broad, from grassy woodlands to riparian forests to subtropical rainforest, and even in exotic pine plantations.
