Hitting 50 seems to trigger a barrage of cancer screening invitations. Having lost both my parents to cancer in their 60s it makes sense to take up the offer of free tests. Today's appointment was at 14.20 at my local hospital. I went straight from work and got there 15 minutes early. I was cheerfully logged and scanned and was back in my car on the way home by 14.25. Glad to see my taxes being so well spent.
