Hi guys!!! Happy New Year!!! %-)
Sorry for my absence...The Life/Work/Flickr balance has been a real challenge since the Year kicked off... I HATE making excuses for it.. I had hoped the New Year would be less hectic but I'm afraid things are STILL busy... and my hand/wrist is STILL giving me grief. Saw the Specialsts Team today though and am hoping to get a Rehab/Pain Management Programme approved, to spend some time with them and hopefully get on top of things better... %-)
ANYWAY... I wanted to share with you & for 'Music Monday'... a FABULOUS night I had on Saturday...
Some of you may remember from my 2011 December Diary that I'm a BIG fan of Elvis Costello!!!
The first album I ever bought... way back in 1978...was "Armed Forces"... seen above..
I saw him in concert in 1985...hard to believe it's 28 years ago!!! Showing my age... AND his! LOL!
So I was quite excited to hear just before New Years, that he was coming out for a concert...
Bought my ticket there and then... 8 rows back..bang smack in the middle. %-)
Fantastic seat! Fantastic Sound! Fantastic Vocals... and just a Fantastic Concert all round! %-)
Here are a couple of my faves that he played...
Olivers Army (The reason I bought 'Armed Forces' all those years ago!)
Watching The Detectives (They did a fantastic live version of this song)
Pump it Up (Still as good as it ever was.. with the same level of energy!)
Alison (A Classic!)
Poisoned Rose (One of my real faves... and a pleasant surprise that he played it!)
Before I forget... Ted's had a visit from a Dear Friend... on an 'Unexpected Journey'...
He's documented the whole event.. so we'll share that with you as soon as I get the chance! %-)
