They tried to make her go to Rehab... but she said No No No...

Sunday July 24th

I woke this morning to the terribly sad new that Amy Winehouse was found dead in her flat yesterday....

In some ways it wasn't such a Surprise...

But in all honesty it still was a Shock and a terrible Tragedy...

We all know that she has had her ups and downs...

Struggling with Alcohol and Drugs over the past few years...

But at the tender age of 27... it is so incredibly sad to hear...

That those inner Demons got the better of her.

When she was at her best she had a powerful soulful gutsy and beautiful voice...

Here are a few song to remember her by... R.I.P Amy....

Love is a Losing Game

You Know I'm No Good

Back to Black

Rehab

"...A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed that a 27-year-old woman had died in Camden and that the cause of death was as yet unexplained. The Brit and Grammy award-winner had struggled with drink and drug addiction and had recently spent time in rehab. Her record label Universal called her "a gifted musician, artist and performer", adding: "Our prayers go out to Amy's family, friends and fans."

In a statement - police spokesman Superintendent Raj Kohli said Winehouse's death was being treated as "unexplained." It had been reported that Winehouse died of a drugs overdose but Superintendent Kohli said "it would be inappropriate to speculate on the cause of death." He added: "My sympathy extends not just to her immediate family but clearly to the thousands and millions of fans across the world."

Winehouse won widespread acclaim with her 2003 debut album, Frank - which was nominated for the Mercury prize. But it was 2006's Back to Black which brought her worldwide stardom, winning five Grammy Awards..."

Amy Winehouse, Rehab singer, dies aged 27

Troubled soul singer Amy Winehouse dies at 27 after booze and pills bender

SOUL diva Amy Winehouse was found dead in her home yesterday - fulfilling her own prediction that she would die at 27. Sources last night said the singer had been on a 48-hour ecstasy and booze binge before her death. The Rehab singer was believed to have been found slumped at her home by her bodyguard. But she was already "beyond help" by the time ambulance crews turned up and pronounced dead at the scene. Grieving fans gathered to leave flowers outside the soul diva's home in Camden, north London, last night. Her distraught boyfriend Reg Travis also arrived on the scene. The beehived star had faced a long battle with booze and drugs and once told her former personal assistant Alex Haines that she feared she'd be dead at 27 - like Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and Kurt Cobain. The macabre prediction was made in a 2008 interview by Haines. He revealed: "She reckoned she would join the 27 club of rock stars who died at that age." Amy's neighbour Jann Meyer, 33, said: "It's not really a shock, it was to be expected sooner or later. She was 27 - and all good rock stars go at 27."
