For this assignment I had a hard time to get a model, no one voluntered actually. My family looked at me quite suspicios. Well you always got yourself don`t you.
I put gel on the strobes, blue, violet and red. Violet to light the floor, blue bounced in the ceiling and red in the bathtub. When I had get the exposure right I filled the bathtub with water (hint, use hot water it will get cold).
I had the door to the bathroom open so I could shot from the hallway.
I put the strobe that shall be in the water in a waterproff plastic bag (use tape to hold the gel in place, it will of course move so you have to open the bag and start over).
I had the selftimer on 20 seconds delay. Climbed in the water, pressed the strobed under the water and tried to direct it properly. Out of the bath in to the hallway to look at the screen, press the shutter, in to the bath, changed the exposure, in to the bath, put the violet gel on the ceiling strobe, in to the bath, took away the floor strobe, in to the bath and so forth….
After 54 exposures I got quite cold and I could not see the strobe in the bag because of the condensation ( you have to chose, condensation in the bag or catch the cold ) so I stepped out of the tube and out in the hallway.
When I was standing there naked with camera and strobes my youngest daughter came in through the outer door with a friend, they was supposed to be at a party. I think I can guess what they will talk about.
