the colours of the night
I was puzzled because, to the naked eye, the city looks almost-monochromatic at night - with silhouettes in various shades of gray, interspersed with a soft glow from whitewashed exteriors, bright light spots (rectangles) against a variable sky. But my photos of it display colors verging-on-lurid.
Possibly, photosensitive camera lenses pick up on the slightest reflection of color - from any light source, like neon signs - off buildings with whitewashed walls!
