In downtown Majuro, yards are threatened by high tides (this one in Feb 2011 was not accompanied by wind or strong waves). Note the hundreds of trash items escaping a backyard landfill, unnoticed by local authorities. In Jenrock neighborhood a cemetery has been swallowed by the sea.
