M/S NYBAKK's VENNER.
Once a common sight in Stornoway Harbour, these beautiful constructed and superb seaboats could be heard miles away (I could hear them in the house) with their massive single cylinder Bollander Engines. Some names I remember of the "regulars":
Forde, Forde Junior, Kamaro, Nydolsoy, Fernando, Holvic Senior, Vestvik, Sjovaer, Norliner, Harhaug, Vestbak and many more. The crews would clear Woolworths out of "Roses" chocolate and the Co-op out of Smirnoff Vodka.........
