The existing building consisted of office and commercial space and was transformed into student apartments in a phased construction process. Phase I included included floors four through eight, in addition to the first floor lobby renovation. The apartments provide 94 beds throughout these five floors in addition to the Dean’s suite on the eighth floor. Phase II began with the complete demolition of eight more floors. Five floors provide 100 additional beds and three floors will be left as a shell for future use. The apartments range from four to six beds per unit, and a seven-story interior light well has been incorporated to allow natural light to flow through the interior space.
