Say hello to Benny's Monorail Manufacturing Modular Mobile Moonbase (Or 'Mmmmmm'!)
After his titular role in the first LEGO Movie, Benny built the Part Monorail. However, monorail track isn't cheap! So Benny, ever the crafty and resourceful master builder, devised this clever mechanism! Using old 9V Train Tracks, smoothed together with classic grey space rock, and a little LEGO magic ;) Benny's radical rover prints new (old) monorail track as it rolls along. Between gathering rock from the planet's surface, and intermittently receiving supply orders, of 9V track (nobody's really using it, anyway...) the Party Monorail never has to stop!
Filled with play-features, I designed this structure as a companion to my Party Monorail MOC as if it were a real set. The multi-story access, detailed sophisticated 1980's technology, poseable crane arms, and 'fusion chamber' all echo design from the original classic space sets (as well as using 99% old light grey, throughout). The suspension works, too!
I threw an edited 'spaaaace' background in, and will supplement with some detail shots soon! Enjoy!! Happy Febrovery!
