Bob Larson photos

These photos were sent to me by Bob Gile in April of 2020. Below is the text:

"Rich, I don't think you ever met Bob Larson, but maybe. He grew up in EC and is about 15 years older than me. Just out of high school he got a job working for the Soo in Chippewa and then also the CNW I think. Anyway he soon made his way west and to the WP. He retired from the UP as a hogger about 10-15 years ago. He took pictures all that time and carried his camera at work.

I got to know him from his summer trips back to EC and a mutual friend. He did about 3 photo books for Morning Sun. I haven't heard from him for at least 10 yrs now and don't have a current address, so I'm not sure if he's still with us.

Anyway, at one time he gave me a box full of 3x5 b/w photos he had traded for and bought over the years and no longer wanted. I must have at least a couple hundred. I've been scanning them. Here's a few samples. Lots of Soo and NP (not sure why on that but I know he always took a day to go to the Twin Ports when he was here). The Wadley Southern is my favorite.

A nice diversion from black and red Legos.

Bob"
