Back in 2012, I stopped in Phillips to shoot a boxcar at the Georgia Pacific hardboard plant. I don't often take this kind of pic, but thought "what the heck, it's there". The plant had been closed and was to be removed to make way for condos / lake properties but a group of former employees has purchased it and it trying to reopen. We'll see if the plant ever ships via rail again. CN seems to want out of the northwoods in the worst way but also won't lease or sell the property.
