Inspired by the tarot, which I have studied as part of my spiritual path for well over a decade.
The Ace of Disks is about the raw power of resources - time, money, health, energy. With the ace of disks, powerful seeds are planted in the fertile soil of our lives so that we can draw new resources to us. Represents new fertility in our lives in all senses.
I used this as an opportunity to experiment with a few quilting techniques I had only read about until now. I the central disk is reverse appliqued and trapunto quilted. Not bad for first tries, but far from perfect. These were so much fun to make!
