Sunset, Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge
Around the southern half of San Francisco Bay is the Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge. It's actually made up of three distinct areas: Bair Island near San Carlos/Redwood City, an area in Hayward, and one in Alviso, at the very southern part of the Bay. This vantage point is near the visitor center in Alviso. The white shapes are American White Pelicans, but there are also American Brown Pelicans resting there too.
This was the third evening in a row last week that had some amazing light.
