Foggy Blue Hour

My husband and I hooked up with a good Flickr buddy and some other wonderful photographers to shoot the Bay Bridge and the city in the blue hour. A huge bank of fog was rolling in, so we didn't know how things were going to shake out. We fought mist on our lens, dust flying around, and bright lights on the bridge. Still, a fun time was had by all.

In the end, I wasn't terribly happy with many of my shots. While I was getting some issues with mist, I realized after downloading my shots that I was getting some serious lens flare from the closest lights. Bother! Instead of trying to clone it all out, I've opted to change the comp by cropping it.

I do like the softness the fog gives the scene and how it settles on the city like a blanket.

It was fun shooting with you guys - you know who you are!
