Gone But Not Forgotten...
On my first visit to Brussels, I stumbled across Fabian O'Farrell's, an Irisb pub close to the European Parliament. At this stage, I wouldn't remember any great detail - what beers they had or what sort of prices they charged. It was bright, clean and comfortable inside, but it was quiet enough. (It was the middle of the afternoon - after lunchtime but before hometime, I wouldn't have expected any great crowds).
It was nine years before I managed a return to Brussels and I was sorry to find that, in my absence, Fabians had served last orders.
