Nuit
The goddess Nuit is the wife and sister of Geb and the mother of Isis, Osiris, Seth and Nephtys. As the goddess of the sky, she is often depicted with her body stretched out over the earth, her hands and feet at the cardinal points. She is the firmament that protects the world from the amorphous chaos beyond, and as such she maintains all that is in existence. Sometimes Nuit is depicted as a sky cow and often she has stars on her body or her dress. Indeed, she was sometimes described as the 'mistress of the heavenly bodies' and she was thought to draw stars into her mouth and expel them from her womb in a repeating cycle.
