Miranda Automex 111

The Miranda Automex Was The Precursor Of The Sensorex, And Is Relatively Rare Due To Low Production Numbers And A High Price Tag. For Example, In The UK It Cost Just Under GBP 170; In The USA It Cost $259.95 The Automex 111 Was The Last Of The Automex Series, Being Replaced By The Better Known And More Common Sensorex Range.

For Reasons Nobody Knows, The Automex 111 Was Made Concurrently With Both A Gold And Chromed Facia Plate. The Gold One Is Much Rarer, Comprising 10% Of Known Models Compared To 90% Being The Chrome Plate Variety. It's Been Suggested That It Was A Regional Marketing Thing, With The Gold Versions Being Sold In The Middle East. If Anybody Has Any Evidence Of This - Or Any Other Theories, I'd Like To Hear Them! Remember That Known Body S/Nos Are Concurrent Not Consecutive, So The Obvious Theory That One Variety Replaced The Other Can't Be True.
