Blocking the Way
An excavator blocks the south track of the CN mainline as a westbound freight train roars past on the north track. Facilities are being upgraded at the Brantford ON VIA Rail station over the next several weeks, including repairing/resurfacing the passenger platforms. Interestingly, the operator was able to position the excavator, using the boom as a lever, on 2 old wooden ties so as to straddle the rails without touching them at any time.
