Cockatoo Couple (?) : Their bodylanguage and mutual grooming, to me, suggests a mated pair! I wish them well and barring misfortune, they could have 50 years together - Cockatoos mate for life and locally want for nothing, even water is provided and there are many 'feeders'.
The oldest recorded Cockatoo (a caged bird) was 113 years old. The Chieftain of our local tribe, a huge and raucous beast would, going by size alone, be 60 yo. or so. He is so protective it's a delight to watch him conduct this band: When he screams danger (real or imagined) they all take off instantly - He is always there and always watching!
