Exotic Xenolith

A survivor (thus far).

Blasted roadcut exposure in deeply eroded craton,

visited during 2017 fieldtrip near Wawa Ontario.

Xenoliths within kimberlites in the Wawa area of Ontario are kibbles and bits torn from Earth's upper mantle or lower crust. This beauty was brought to surface via an effusive diatreme from depths of around 80-165 km.
