Going Down
An early New Years Day trip over the Pennines to Ladybower Resevoir for a couple of shots I've had in mind for a long time but just waiting for all the variables to fall into place, weather, water levels and having the day off work!
This one's not quite what I had in mind as I'd have liked to get a bit higher to get the whole thing in but the drone was experiencing some technical issues! I couldn't get GPS lock, I was getting a red flashing light I've never seen before and the throttle responce was very erratic! This was literally a 10 second flight over the plughole and back again to terra firma! Due to the issues with the drone and the nature of the flight I'm sure you can understand my nervousness so under the circumstances I was pretty happy with what I got!
When I got home and read the instructions I found out that it was all purely a compass calibration issue due to the drone not being completely level when I turned it on...so when I said technical issues earlier on, read, user error!
I'll be back!
