Batty Boo backstory
Once upon a time, in a very dark cave, there lived a colony of bats. Now this is a slightly unusual way to start a fairytale, because a colony of bats living in a very dark cave is hardly exceptional. The little lavender coloured bat, who hung closest to the exit of the cave, however, was very extraordinary indeed. This is the story of how she became even more extraordinary than she was to begin with.
Her name was Batty Boo. And she found that being a bat was… complicated. You see, Batty Boo had a rather keen sense of smell, and though that was true for every member of the Boo Colony, Batty’s nose was probably a bit more sensitive than that of her fellow bats, because she just couldn’t ignore the smell of guano in the cave. What is guano?
Err… It’s bat droppings. You know… poop. And Batty hated the fact that no one seemed to mind pooping during their sleep whilst hanging upside down from the ceiling of the cave. She thought it was barbaric! But unfortunately, she seemed to be the only one with this opinion, so she had to find her own solution.
