Las vías del tren se cortan, se gritan,

se atornillan, se funden, se rozan, se sueldan,

se calientan, se estremecen,

a veces chirrían,

y se muestran como líneas que se pierden

en el horizonte de tus días.

 

Las vías del tren se abrazan, se lían,

se estiran, se derraman, se responden, se destinan,

se solapan, se arrullan, se apilan, se odian,

o se aman se mezclan con otros trenes y otras vías.

 

Las vías del tren

vienen y van,

a donde quieras ir

a donde te quieran llevar.

The train tracks are cut, they are shouted,

They are screwed, melted, rubbed, welded,

they get hot, they shudder,

sometimes they squeak,

And they show up as lines that are lost

on the horizon of your days.

 

The train tracks hug each other, get involved,

they stretch, they spill, they respond, they are destined,

they overlap, they coo, they pile up, they hate each other,

or they love each other, they mix with other trains and other tracks.

 

The train tracks

they come and go,

wherever you want to go

wherever they want to take you.
