Bite Me

The girl inside of me knocks on my ribs

Rattling the ivory bars of her cage

She begs for a moment of freedom

And a chance to explain herself on this page

 

But I’ve worked too hard on my reputation

To hand her the key and let her escape

Her cries echo the hollows of my heart

And so I pull out the duck tape
