Dark Green Fritillary
Some butterflies, for a change. We found quite a few butterflies in the dune area on Lindisfarne and along the coastal paths, including this Dark Green Fritillary. The name doesn't seem to make any sense, until you see the underside of the wings. There seemed to be more of these around than we've seen on previous visits to Nothumberland.
