Oia sunset - Santorini
Just after sunset at Oia, at the northern end of Santorini's caldera.
As we flew into Santorini, we spent one night there on arrival (at Fira), before catching a ferry to Paros and 4 nights in Oia at the end of our holiday. Oia is a popular place to watch the sunset (the only place I've seen a sunset applauded), though I think we saw a couple of more spectacular ones on Paros. Santorini is certainly unique and beautiful and has always been popular - but it has got even busier since our last visit and we did find some of the crowds a bit overwhelming at times.
The first shot below was taken shortly before the scene above. The last 2 shots (taken on a different night) are of the crowds, lining every available sunset viewpoint with their cameras and selfie sticks!
