Butterfly weekend
Though I've seen one or two butterflies in the last few weeks, some of them have been rather battered specimens. The warm spring sunshine this weekend was the first time I've seen any number of butterflies and several different species - Small Tortoiseshells, Peacocks, Comma and even a Brimstone, though I couldn't get a shot of it. Barring any late, cold spells, I hope that this is the sign that the butterfly numbers will be good this year!
This was taken at Arley Hall gardens yesterday, which was full of spring flowers, attracting a good number of butterflies and ladybirds.
