I made this photo of the waxing crescent moon near the western horizon at 10PM on January 26, 2023. I saw this moon when I put out the garbage carts for tomorrow's pickup. The moon was too low to photograph from street level, so I captured this shot from the second story porch landing. The image is not as crisp as it could have been if I had used the viewfinder rather than the live view of the articulating monitor of my Canon Powershot SX50.
