Sturgeon Full Moon through McLaren Park Trees San Francisco 20190813-201103

This photo I made of a gigantic moon seen through tree branches is the first of a series of three photos of the August 13, 2019 Sturgeon Full Moon seen from McLaren Park, a few blocks from our San Francisco home. I normally would not have seen such a sight except the huge moon shown on the hilly horizon as I was driving home from a quick shopping trip. I thought the moon photography would be effortless from the height of the park hills, but I was in for a rigorous walk over uneven hilly terrain after I parked my car. The sky was actually pink, as in the third slide, but all but one of the several images I captured indicated nighttime rather than dusk. I shot this using my Canon Powershot SX50. All three photo were taken within three minutes of each other.
