I made this photo of one of the several sculptures Melody and I have in the backyard of our San Francisco home the day after Jorge and his son Pedro did their gardening magic. I had removed the sculptures out of the working area for the first, extensive clean up and pruning. I found new places for the sculptures when I returned them to the garden. All the sculptures in our garden were the creations of a late, and long time friend, Helen Jean Phillips, also known as Helen Phillips Pinsky. Like most all sculptures exposed to the elements over time, this one has held up pretty well, though it seems to have grown hair – red on top and green on the sides. I shot this using my Canon Powershot SX50 that I have on hand pretty much always.
