Super Wolf blood moon full in eclipse stage first of a series of five taken from San Francisco 20190120-210805 cw50 C4
This is the first of five photos of my second series of the Super Wolf Blood Full Moon in eclipse as seen from San Francisco on January 20, 2019. I shot the two series of eclipse shots, the only two chances I got in the cloudy and rainy skies over the city that night. I had seen this moon, in all its glory, during the final few blocks as I was returning from a trip out of town. When I got home, I immediately went to our back deck but did not see the moon. After I decided to drive to the place I had seen it near our home I saw the moon behind our San Francisco home as I backed out of our driveway. I drove around the block to get back home and the moon was gone - actually covered by clouds. I returned to the deck and waited for the moon to reappear and got a few shots when it did. The beautiful moon only showed itself twice in the time I checked it over and over again. This series is the second shot using my Canon Powershot SX50.
