I made this photo of a nearly full moon around 9 PM on December 21, 2018 from the back deck of our San Francisco home. I heard either from TV or Internet that the Cold Moon would be in the night sky - first time since last year and that it will be several years until the next one. I tried shooting this using my point and shoot Canon Powershot SX50 and my Canon EOS 80D with a 320mm lens. This image capture with a 1200 mm focal length of my SX50 point and shoot won out. Enlarge it to see there is quite a bit of detail in this hand held shot.
