Nasturtiums backyard fence 20170616-211815
I made this photo in the late Spring evening in our San Francisco backyard. I generally avoid photos that seem cluttered. I decided to shot this splash of orange nasturtiums among their green leaves even though the evening light was very harsh. I don't encourage nasturtiums in our backyard because they like to spread. These flowers were coming over our back fence from a neighboring yard. If you look closely, you can see the bee on one of the orange flowers in the right bottom of this photo. In fact, the bee buzzing around these flowers first attracted me to capture this image using my Canon Powershot SX50.
