Wedding photo shoot Legion of Honor Museum courtyard San Francisco 20170519-142229 C4

As a people watcher, I like to exploit photographic opportunities that others have worked to create. This is the case with this series of three photos taken of a Bride and Groom photo shoot in the courtyard of the Legion of Honor Museum in San Francisco as we were leaving the building after visiting the Monet the Young Years exhibit. I did not know how many opportunities I would have so shot the couple in the typical pose with arms outstretched toward each other through the ionic columns. I took the wider second shot to include the photographer as he orchestrated the shoot and listened to his One, Two, Three count down; I am not a 1, 2, 3 photographer. I frequently tell my subjects I am going to count to 700. That is usually enough to relax them. In the third shot in this series, the photographer is sharing the digital images with the couple by chimping through the images on the camera's monitor. I am not so sure this is a good idea as the subjects' feedback might impede the natural instincts and shooting style of the photographer. I shot all three images using my Canon Powershot SX50 that is more and more my camera of choice.
