I made this and the following photo of the full Cold Moon from the back deck of our San Francisco home a little after 9 PM on December 22, 2018. I had a little easier time capturing the image this night then those of around 98 percent luminosity the night before. In this shot, I pointed my camera at the clouds surrounding the orb to capture the ethereal circle around the bright orb. I used my Superzoom Canon Powershot SX50 to capture the image.
