Noise abatement meeting January 12 2017 SFO Roundtable meeting in conference room at San Francisco International Airport 20170112-195111
This is a photo I made of the group of SFO Community Round Table Members from Peninsula communities and San Francisco and several residents affected by the roar of jet noise overhead since the FAA instituted new flight paths some time around the middle of 2015. Since this is a photography site, I will not get on my soapbox. There were at least three members from the Federal Aviation Agency in attendance to advise they were sympathetic but powerless to act without direction from some higher authority. When it became apparent, their partners were the airlines and Corporations, not the citizen residents, I left the meeting early before I really lost my cool. This was my only photograph taken of the meeting room. I must admit I felt trapped to stay because I had driven to the meeting and had to wait for my validated parking lot ticket before I could leave. I will take public transportation next time so I can leave when I want to.
