The Mono Lake Visitor Center was our next stop after checking into our rooms at a motel in Lee Vining, California. We had traveled Hwy 120 through Yosemite over Tioga Pass before dropping into the town with Mono Lake as our primary destination. This view is from the back of the Visitor Center. You can see there were several people getting their sight seeing bearings as were we. After picking up some brochures, we headed for the South Tufa area of Mono Lake which you can see in the following slides.
